Skinny

August 24th 2012
Skinny What would you do to be skinny? I know what I would do. I did it and guess what? It didn’t work. Sometime around the age of 12 I realized my self-image. I was at a friend’s house and we were trying on jeans. Hers were 2 sizes smaller than mine. I immediately thought that I was not good. I was fat. I was 12! I wasn’t fat. I was just a different shape. I didn’t have a clue about dieting. We ate out of box or can most of the time. I remember the regular meals at my house were fried Continue Reading >

Beachbody Ultimate Reset Complete

May 21st 2012
Beachbody Ultimate Reset 21 days in review We did it. We made it through the 21 days. Today is the 21st day. As I’m typing this I’m about to go to bed and feel amazing gratitude that I completed this. I didn’t give up. What did I realize in the 21 days? I can live without chocolate, wine, snacking, and eating out. I have more self-control than I realized. I have major amounts of energy based on the food I put in my body. I have more restful sleep when I feed my body food that Continue Reading >

Scatter-Brained

March 19th 2012
Scatter Brained Over the moon with excitement about this upcoming trip to the Bahamas. I have to perform a brain dump. I spent most of my adult life insecure about myself. The way I looked, the way I felt, and in my abilities to do anything. I was afraid to try. I was afraid to fail. I was afraid. Even when I was at my lowest weight ever I was still critical of myself. I needed a flatter stomach. I needed to be a smaller size. I never looked at myself and said nice things. I would look at other Continue Reading >

Change. Do you really want it? Are you ready for the Challenge?

March 17th 2012
Change. Do you really want it? Are you ready for the Challenge? I’m not singling out any one person in this post. I’ve had tons of people tell me they want help. They want to lose weight. They want to feel better. In the same breath they also tell me that they do not want to work out, they do not want to get up early, they don’t have time, or they don’t have money. I have to ask my spouse, I’m going on vacation, I’ve been sick, I’ve got a lot going on. The list goes on and on. My Continue Reading >

Top Reasons I recommend being a Team Beachbody coach

March 10th 2012
Top Reasons I recommend being a Team Beachbody coach Accountability: If you struggle with your weight , body image and staying in a routine then coaching is perfect for you. Some people say, “I am over weight how can I coach?” Simple. You are on a journey just like everyone else. No one is perfect. They may look perfect but there is always room to improve. I yo-yo dieted for most of my adult life. Lose 10, gain 20, lose 20, gain 40. Being a coach helps keep you accountable. You are on a Continue Reading >

Did I do it?

January 31st 2012
Did I do it? Did I go 30 days without red meat, alcohol, pedicures and buying shoes? Why did I even decide to do this? Everyone has a new year’s resolution. Most people give up within the first week to 10 days. Why do they give up? Because forming new habits can be a challenge. Making unrealistic goals is another issue. I’m going to go to the gym 6 days a week from the old 0 days. As soon as they miss one day they say “well I failed to reach my goal so I’ll quit.” I started Continue Reading >

What do you want? Why do you want it?

January 21st 2012
What do you want and why do you want it? Seems basic right? But yet there are so many people that don’t know what they want and why. Or maybe they know what they don’t want. Sometimes that is where you need to begin. They don’t want to be overweight, they don’t want to be in debt, they don’t want to be single, they don’t want to be married, they hate their job, or they want to get a job. The list can go on and on. I hear these powerful Whys coming from people but yet they don’t take Continue Reading >

Two Weeks Down

January 15th 2012
Day 14 I’m about ½ way through the 30 day challenge of zero alcohol, zero red meat, and working out according to the Les Mills Pump plan. Successful and I feel fantastic. Saying no to alcohol was going to be the toughest for me. We love to drink wine. We appreciate wine. And we don’t drink cheap wine. Forget the food changes let’s talk about what this is doing for my wallet. On average we drink 1 to 2 glasses of night per night if you add up all of the glasses and divide by 7. No, we Continue Reading >
