The Gift of Your Pain

November 4th 2013
The Gift of Your Pain Have you ever tried to numb yourself? Of course you have. We all have. We all numb ourselves in different ways even if we are not trying to numb ourselves. How? TV, food, alcohol, drugs, or mindless games. Why do we numb ourselves? We want to escape something. We want to escape our current reality. Why do we want to escape so much? What is so bad about our current reality? Everyone has a different pain. It could be a loss of a loved one, an illness, a loss of a job, being Continue Reading >

Take a leap of faith

August 19th 2013
Take a leap of faith Do you feel trapped in your life? I remember when I was younger the world seemed to hold so many possibilities and it was exciting. We used to just drop everything and try new things. I remember the day we decided to just pack up and move to Austin for a few years. After I graduated college the reality set it. I have massive amounts of debt from credit cards and student loans and my $24,000 a year job wasn’t going to cut it. I stayed in that cycle for years. Working at a job Continue Reading >

Are you happy with your life?

July 10th 2013
Are you happy? Are you happy or are you in No Man’s Land? You know the place where you are unhappy but not unhappy enough to do anything about it. I challenge you to start applying the compound effect. Small positive changes every day to get you to your goals. Many people give up too early because they want drastic and immediate results. Know that it does take time. I have an analogy that I use from a friend of mine. He said “It takes one woman 9 months to make a baby. You can’t throw time Continue Reading >

What are your priorities?

July 3rd 2013
Guest Blog post by Mark Dietel It is my great pleasure to share this blog post with you from my husband, Mark Dietel. I pretty much run our fitness blog because of his log hours as a hair stylist. He is a great man. I hope you enjoy his blog post. I know I did. It is great to see things from a man’s perspective. What are your priorities? By Mark Dietel Your priorities for your life as a man may include providing for your family, keeping them safe, and saving for their future. I had those Continue Reading >

Are you done yet?

April 18th 2013
Are you done yet? In early April I attended a seminar by Sandi Krakowski. www.arealchange.com/blog/ I went in expecting to learn about social media and blogging and left with a stronger understanding of my purpose and exactly what I need to be doing with my gifts. I won’t ramble on and on about my special purpose and I’ll get right to the point. Sandi shared many things and I have pages and pages of notes. One story she told was about a lady who was working 90 hours a week doing many things. Continue Reading >

Then vs Now

December 14th 2012
Then vs Now Most people tend to reflect on the year when a new one is approaching. I could spend hours talking about how I’ve changed and improved. Last week I spoke on a call discussing some of the changes that have happened in the last 2 years because I said YES to becoming a Team Beachbody coach. I went from being the girl crying in the closet at my clothes to never crying in there again. I went from being the person calling the credit card company for available balance Continue Reading >

Happy 2 Year Anniversary

November 2nd 2012
Whoa! 2 years. What happens in 2 years? In November 2010 I became a Team Beachbody coach. I’m absolutely amazed at how much our lives have changed in 2 short years. I could ramble on and on about how awesome things are now. Many of you do not know my life before I was a coach in the public eye. I don’t want to get into too much detail but let’s just say that it wasn’t all that happy. We were getting by. We were like most families just trying to make it. It is difficult to admit but Continue Reading >

Skinny

August 24th 2012
Skinny What would you do to be skinny? I know what I would do. I did it and guess what? It didn’t work. Sometime around the age of 12 I realized my self-image. I was at a friend’s house and we were trying on jeans. Hers were 2 sizes smaller than mine. I immediately thought that I was not good. I was fat. I was 12! I wasn’t fat. I was just a different shape. I didn’t have a clue about dieting. We ate out of box or can most of the time. I remember the regular meals at my house were fried Continue Reading >

Pain vs Pleasure

August 4th 2012
Pain vs Pleasure Mark and I attended Unleash the Power Within recently. Tony Robbins and Joseph McClendon III were awesome. So many lessons learned that weekend. So many breakthroughs. I’ve been listening to Tony Robbins in the car almost every day. The lesson today was about Pain vs. Pleasure. We do things to either avoid pain or to seek pleasure. It is in our DNA. Many times we do this on an unconscious level. If the pain of doing something seems greater than the pleasure that may be gained Continue Reading >

The Fire Walk Metaphor

July 24th 2012
The Fire Walk Metaphor Mark and I just returned from Unleash the Power Within. It is the most popular Tony Robbins Seminar. It is the one which includes the fire walk at the end of day 1. It is 4 days of ups and downs. Mostly ups though. I will not go into detail of what we did. You have to experience it for yourself. We prepared for about 12 hours for the fire walk. The energy and excitement in the room was amazing. It wasn’t all just about fire walking. That was one piece of things. The fire Continue Reading >
