Hippie Loaf

August 25th 2014
I found this recipe from the Forks Over Knives app. I'm always looking for ways to feed my family meatless meals that are healthy. I'm not a meat hater or anything but I feel that shifting to have meatless meals several times a week is good for the body. Serves 4 Prep time 15 minutes Cook time 1 hour Weight Watchers Points 4 points per serving. INGREDIENTS: 1 15 ounce can black beans or kidney beans, drained and rinsed 1 onion, finely diced 2 garlic cloves, minced 1 large carrot, Continue Reading >

Balls O Steel

August 6th 2014
Here it is folks. I struggled for a while with posting this picture. For the last year I've been struggling with things. More travel, more treats, more celebrations and more of everything. I haven't been tracking my food. The pounds kept packing on. I would complete a program and have great results and then fall off the wagon. I would beat myself up over and over about starting over again and again. I was ashamed to post it. I felt like I was a fraud as a coach. How could I claim to know Continue Reading >

The 21 Day Fix is on!

July 30th 2014
This year has been an up and down struggle. The struggle with the scale. I've been sabotaging myself after every success. I completed a round of the 21 day fix with flying colors. Had great results. Then I went on a cruise and reversed it all. Then I kept beating myself up and starting over and beating myself up and starting over. I would look back at my awesome results and wish I hadn't stopped. I have zero problem working out. I love to workout. I love the way working out makes me feel. We Continue Reading >

Weekly Meal Plan for the 21 Day Fix

May 22nd 2014
One of the most frequently asked questions I receive from the participants in our 21 Day Fix group is about meal planning. What should I cook? Are there meal suggestions? Do you have recipes? Do you have a plan? How much time do you spend planning? Can you give us a meal plan? I decided to track what I eat and share it. This meal plan is based off of my calorie range for the 21 Day fix. If you need a larger calorie range with more containers you can simply double the appropriate portions Continue Reading >

Does the Veggetti Work?

May 14th 2014
Here is the answer! YES I just washed the zucchini and started to twist it into the Veggetti. As it went further down I used the safety guard. Found it at Walgreens for $14.99 and it did what It said it would do. Pretty cool. Now I'm going to actually cook it and put sauce on it and see how awesome it is. Continue Reading >

Push Through Fear

May 12th 2014
Yes, this is me jumping off of a 40 foot cliff in Jamaica last summer. I was scared out of my mind. My heart was racing. I made up my mind before I even got there that I was going to do it no matter how scared I was and I said I was going first. I did it and when I jumped I didn't hesitate. Just let my heart race and took the biggest leap of my life. I screamed and grabbed my boobs. I guess I felt like I had to hold onto something. What a rush! I'm not saying go cliff jumping. I'm saying that you Continue Reading >

Which one is better? The 21 Day Fix or Weight Watchers?

May 10th 2014
21 Day Fix vs. Weight Watchers? How do you know what program will work for you? Why do I have any expertise on this topic? Why on earth listen to me? You don’t have to listen to me but you will have a better understanding of the differences and similarities of the programs. I’ve been a Weight Watcher member for years. Off and on for years. The last time I signed up again was in April 2009 right before my 20 year high school reunion. I’ve been through many programs they offer and they Continue Reading >

Are you happy?

April 17th 2014
Are you happy? Are you happy or are you in No Man’s Land? You know the place where you are unhappy but not unhappy enough to do anything about it. I challenge you to start applying the compound effect. Small positive changes every day to get you to your goals. Many people give up too early because they want drastic and immediate results. Know that it does take time. I have an analogy that I use from a friend of mine. He said “It takes one woman 9 months to make a baby. You can’t throw time Continue Reading >
