What do you want? Why do you want it?

January 21st 2012
What do you want and why do you want it? Seems basic right? But yet there are so many people that don’t know what they want and why. Or maybe they know what they don’t want. Sometimes that is where you need to begin. They don’t want to be overweight, they don’t want to be in debt, they don’t want to be single, they don’t want to be married, they hate their job, or they want to get a job. The list can go on and on. I hear these powerful Whys coming from people but yet they don’t take Continue Reading >

Two Weeks Down

January 15th 2012
Day 14 I’m about ½ way through the 30 day challenge of zero alcohol, zero red meat, and working out according to the Les Mills Pump plan. Successful and I feel fantastic. Saying no to alcohol was going to be the toughest for me. We love to drink wine. We appreciate wine. And we don’t drink cheap wine. Forget the food changes let’s talk about what this is doing for my wallet. On average we drink 1 to 2 glasses of night per night if you add up all of the glasses and divide by 7. No, we Continue Reading >

A year in review

December 17th 2011
A year in review The last 12 months have been great. Ups and downs but mostly ups. I was talking to a friend, who is now one of my best friends, and she asked me what we were doing a year ago. In December 2010 I has just signed up to be a Team Beachbody coach and had zero clue what was about to happen in my life. Joined a 90 Days to Diamond group and that is where I met my friend Rhonda. She is like a sister. It is nuts. We are twins separated at birth. We share the same passion for things and Continue Reading >

Time to set goals and take action

November 28th 2011
So here we are. About 30 days remaining in 2011. Did you accomplish some or all of the 2011 goals you set? Did you even set goals? Some people know the old me. They know the Heather that was 40 to 50 pounds overweight. They know the Heather that would get sick several times a year, lie in bed all day on a Sunday and do absolutely nothing. The Heather that rarely set goals. That Heather had all the time in the world to attend parties and travel but she didn’t because she was unhappy, overweight, Continue Reading >

Easy vs Not Easy

November 18th 2011
Lets get real. I know getting and staying motivated is a challenge. Sometimes a daily or hourly challenge. Lets look at what is easy to do and what isn't easy. See if you agree. Easy to do: Lie in bed and hit snooze Go through the drive thru Order take out Sit on the couch and veg out Put on sweat pants Complain about what isn’t working Blame others for my lack of time and motivation Not easy: Paying thousands on health care due to weight related illness Losing time/money at Continue Reading >

One Year Anniversary as a Team Beachbody Coach

November 10th 2011
What a difference a year makes. Last year I was sitting at my desk at work talking to Chris Reed. He had talked to me about the coaching opportunity a few times and I said no. I finally took the leap of faith and said yes. Why did I say no? Out of fear of the unknown I’m sure. I looked at the last 39 years of my life and thought why not? Why not challenge myself and try something new. Watch this short video. It’s me. It’s real. I thought about getting all dolled up and fix my hair and then Continue Reading >

Should You Be a Team Beachbody Coach?

October 28th 2011
I get so many questions from people. What is a Beachbody coach? What does that mean? Do I have to coach people? Should I be a coach even when I’m overweight? How can I coach people when I don’t know anything about fitness? I’m not like you. I’m not motivated. To me there are several different types of coaches. Discount coaches: These coaches are strictly in it for the 25% cost savings. They have zero interest in sharing it with others or growing it as a business. Even if someone asks Continue Reading >

P90X Day 19 from the perspective of an Insanity Lover

October 21st 2011
Day 19 of P90X and I'm still alive! My very first program was Insanity in the summer of 2010. I've made it through 2 complete rounds and 1 complete round of Insanity the Asylum. It seems like I was avoiding P90X. I was. I didn't want to lift weights. I felt it was boring. Going wheels off to Insanity was up my ally. No offense to Tony Horton but I just didn't want to spend 90 days lifting weights. Boy was I ever wrong! Pull ups? ha! I use a chair to help me do them. I do my best and forget the Continue Reading >
