The Value of a Success Partner

September 12th 2012
Just days away from my 41st birthday and I’m reflecting. I spent most of my life without an accountability partner. Now I have a success partner and a personal life coach. I talk to my success partner Rhonda every week. We have a set call every Friday to talk for 30 minutes. I look forward to it every week. I also talk to my coach Mandy every Thursday to set new goals for the week and evaluate how my previous week went. You cannot do your own brain surgery. You cannot coach yourself. It is in Continue Reading >

Ultimate Reset for Fall Day 1 October 1st

September 11th 2012
It is that time of year again for us. We are doing the 21 day Beachbody Ultimate Reset in October. The first time we did it was in May and we were reluctant and excited at the same time. Reluctant to give up wine and cheese and excited to see our health improve and kick habits. Are you tired? Do you get sick several times a year? Do you have allergies? Do you need to lower your cholesterol or regulate your blood sugar? Do you want to get off of medications? Do you want more energy? If the Continue Reading >

Skinny

August 24th 2012
Skinny What would you do to be skinny? I know what I would do. I did it and guess what? It didn’t work. Sometime around the age of 12 I realized my self-image. I was at a friend’s house and we were trying on jeans. Hers were 2 sizes smaller than mine. I immediately thought that I was not good. I was fat. I was 12! I wasn’t fat. I was just a different shape. I didn’t have a clue about dieting. We ate out of box or can most of the time. I remember the regular meals at my house were fried Continue Reading >

Coaching. What is it?

August 22nd 2012
Coaching. What is it? Many people have heard of P90X. They understand that P90X and Insanity are a part of Beachbody. Some people may even know that Shakeology is connected with Beachbody. Very few people understand the coaching opportunity. I assumed it was one thing and it wasn’t what I thought. My assumptions: • Pyramid scheme • I’d have to sell stuff to my friends • I’d have to host home parties • I’d have to store and deliver products • I’d be out of Continue Reading >

Pain vs Pleasure

August 4th 2012
Pain vs Pleasure Mark and I attended Unleash the Power Within recently. Tony Robbins and Joseph McClendon III were awesome. So many lessons learned that weekend. So many breakthroughs. I’ve been listening to Tony Robbins in the car almost every day. The lesson today was about Pain vs. Pleasure. We do things to either avoid pain or to seek pleasure. It is in our DNA. Many times we do this on an unconscious level. If the pain of doing something seems greater than the pleasure that may be gained Continue Reading >

The Fire Walk Metaphor

July 24th 2012
The Fire Walk Metaphor Mark and I just returned from Unleash the Power Within. It is the most popular Tony Robbins Seminar. It is the one which includes the fire walk at the end of day 1. It is 4 days of ups and downs. Mostly ups though. I will not go into detail of what we did. You have to experience it for yourself. We prepared for about 12 hours for the fire walk. The energy and excitement in the room was amazing. It wasn’t all just about fire walking. That was one piece of things. The fire Continue Reading >

Work harder on yourself than you do on your job

July 18th 2012
Have you heard that before? Work harder on yourself than you do on your job. I never really understood what that meant until recently. I started listening to personal development around 2006. I had just returned to work after having my son and had the pleasure of watching Oprah every day while I was on leave. She had so many specials with Louise Hay, Dr Wayne Dyer and many others. She focused on getting yourself in a better state and focusing on what you have instead of what you don't have. I ordered Continue Reading >

What a difference a year makes

What a difference a year makes. I can’t stress that enough. The value of time and what you do with it. Have you ever heard that poem about time? To realize the value of one year: Ask a student who has failed a final exam. To realize the value of one month: Ask a mother who has given birth to a premature baby. To realize the value of one week: Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper. To realize the value of one hour: Ask the lovers who are waiting to meet. To realize the value of one minute: Ask Continue Reading >

Want to try Shakeology for a week?

June 15th 2012
Want to try Shakeology for a week? You’ve seen the hype. You’ve seen the people losing weight, lowering cholesterol, getting off of insulin or reducing it, increasing energy, improving digestion, reducing joint pain, eliminating IBS. You are stuck. You don’t want to spend the money. You don’t know what you don’t know. Even though there is a 30 day money back guarantee. Even though you’ve heard all of these great things. You just don’t have it in the budget to try it. Try Continue Reading >

Post Reset Check in – Almost 3 weeks after the Beachbody Ultimate Reset

June 6th 2012
We started the 21 Day Beachbody Ultimate Reset Monday April 30, 2012 and finished Sunday May 20, 2012. We are finished but it is not really finished. We are still taking maintenance supplements but very consistently. Once you go from rigid to FREE you kind of lose it a little. We broke the maintenance rules and had alcohol. Whoops. Big whoops. I can normally drink a bottle to myself and be okay. After the reset I can barely have 2 glasses. What’s changed after almost 3 full weeks off of the Continue Reading >
